copy right issues of '掌中解脱——菩提道次第二十四天教授'

Nowadays, we can download many Gelupa books, essays etc etc from the internet ---FREE of Charge., except this particular 掌中解脱. I understand that someone owns the copyright and does not wish it to be downloaded and hence most gelupa sites had taken away the link for downloading. Well, I kinda respect the copyright issue BUT this is a master piece written by a Gelupa Master and it is closely related to us Gelupa students. Just why someone helds the copyright is beyond my understanding. Just look at all the Khejok Rinpoche books which TL wrote/edited , he put them on the BIA net free of charge and the books have since benefited lots and lots of suffering beings. So just why we have to put up with this particular copyright holder of 掌中解脱??

What is wrose is that I have found out this book is either out of print or out of stock and nobody could legally buy one nowadays, evenif you are willing to  surrender and pay money for it!!

正體 form. A master piece should be here to stay for thousands of years to shine the World so we should preserve an e-copy in

中文正體.**

While most of you guys on this forum don't mind reading stuff in Simple form, our subsequent generations may not able to read it.

So anyone who has a link or copy of 正體 掌中解脱, please post it here.

For those who feel comfortable of reading in simple form, please raise a hand here. If the numbers are high, I will put it on a Share-site for download and I will release a password here . Otherwises, I just email to thoses who send me an email privately and I 'share it with friends' to avoid legal matters[ Preferred method].  I guess this, morally, also  isn't a sin of stealing, is it? Afterall the book was written by a Gelupa master and we are all Gelupa students. We study the books and we all attain Enlightment in the future---- this is a Dharma Offering act for the copyright holder.

Dear Sydney,

The reason why this book needs to be copyrighted is clearly described in its postscript (Mission Statement of the White Conch Foundation); that is to help the monastic community led by the late Kyabje Tromo Geshe Rinpoche in Kalingpong, India, not for any individual's gain. It was Rinpoche's idea that this book should be distributed through publishers - a direct order from my beloved root guru.

If you happen to know the book publisher, please ask for more re-prints. This is a master-piece and it should benefit many people.

Dear Sydney, Richen Chodrak certainly know the publisher as he is the translator of the book!!
I have a hard copy of the book, thanks for a freind in Taiwan. But for most people in mainland market, it's hard to get the copy. I will do what I can to publish the book in mainland, so please plann something about this.

Simplified Chinese will benefit more people, no doubtly. So please be aware that a simplified Chinese version is absolutely necessary. It will also last for thousand year as nowadays if American people learns Chinese, they would learn simplified Chinese. I see no points why a traditional Chinese version would last longer. I don't mean to argue but simply wish you can see the other side of the story.

This is a forum of  Gelupa so I am not going to argue with you on matters other than Gelupa teachings here .... but I would debate you anytime and anywhere about your view saying the simplified form could ( may/ should/ would !) to last thous and years.........................????? All Dharma texts were translated in 中文正體 and has been existing for 2000 years. Do you really think that for people only know the simplifed form could fully read these texts nowadays? Because of the political / historical reasons, it is not the fault of most Chinese people not to use 中文正體, but once this generation dies out, our children will make the right choice freely and rightfully. By then we will not use English in a Chinese forum because everyone will use 中文正體.

The link that I pasted here is already in simplifed form.  I may have done something good for the Varta brothers but I may have done something really bad in regard to the Chinese culture.
