Sukhasiddhi (11th century): a principal female teacher of Kedrup Khyungpo Naljor, founder of the Shangpa Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism.
"...in the middle of a vast palace of great liberation, above a lion throne, white lotus and full moon, is the root guru, pristine awareness dakini, Sukhasiddhi, white, with a red radiance; the hair in tresses, gazing with three wide staring eyes. The right hand holds a nectar filled skullcup. The left performs a mudra indicating non-arising; with bone ornaments, in a manner with the two feet in a dancing posture, having a body of pristine awareness dwelling in an expanse of rainbow light." (Shangpa Kagyu Liturgical verse). |
